JAKARTA: The SOE Ministry postponed the dividend payment until next month since the dividend payout ratio calculation is still not completed. Secretary of SOE Ministry Mahmuddin Yasin said the discussion is still not completed because it needs to calculate and consider the payout ratio from each SOE.He estimates the calculation will be completed before the general meeting of shareholders (EGM) of the state-controlled companies that will be held around May-June 2011.The allotment for each deputy is very technical and should be exercised because the payout ratio of each sector and SOE must be calculated. It will be completed before the EGM in May-June, he said in a text message, yesterday. However, he affirmed that the dividend payment target of IDR27,5 trillion shall be fulfilled and he also expects the obligation of dividend interim payment from several SOEs can be erase starting from this year to support the SOEs expansion plan. The existing dividend interim for the last 3 years will not exist any longer in order to support the increase of capital expenditure in MP3EN [Master plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of the National Economic Development] and flexibility of the company's liquidity, he said. The SOE dividend payment target in 2011 State Budget had been reduced to IDR27.5 trillion from the target in 2010 Revised State Budget at IDR29.5 trillion.Based on the result from the temporary meeting, Gatot Trihargo as the Strategic Industry Business and Manufacture Deputy Assistant at the SOE Ministry said that strategic SOEs such as PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom), PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), and SOE that focus on pharmacy sector shall receive dividend payout ratio as much as IDR13.45 trilion or 48.91% from this years dividend target.Bisnis data shows that the government expects to earn IDR4.34 trillion dividends from SOEs and the rest of IDR22.24 trillion from the dividend of non-banking SOEs, (t06/wiw)
